1^st Kapamilya Run 11.11.11

The ABS-CBN Davao organized an event “The 1^st Kapamily Fun Run” last November 11, 2011, a fund raising project for the benefit of the Matina Pangi River rehabilitation project and Bantay Bata 163 Davao. The said event started at 4pm for the 500M for kid category and 7:40pm for adult category at the Car Park of SM City Ecoland.

“Successful! It was fun pero guot lang ang dalan dili kayo makadagan but it was the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever run,job well done kapamilya.”, a student from Holy Cross of Davao College Chezza Marie Tupas participated and shared her memorable experience.

Based on the Kapamilya website almost five thousand runners joined the event from different places (Tagum City, Panabo City, Comval Province, etc.). It was stated also that it was a successful project by the help of the City Government of Davao- Mayor Sara Duterte, Acting City Administrator Zuleika Lopez and Asst. City administrator Erwin Alparaque, all the major and minor sponsors.
